In the most direct way, without much theoretical load, a lot of practice and the best possible attitude, Emmanuel manages to transmit in the classes all the concepts that are needed to improve your game. He shares material with you, but above all you CREATE study material, based on your own games, identifying errors and finding the best repertoire according to your style. I recommend it 100%.
I've been taking weekly lessons from Emmanuel for the past 3 months and it has done wonders for my chess! I would strongly recommend lessons with him for anyone looking to push past a plateau in their play or take their chess to the next level. Emmanuel's teaching and playing style is very practical, which offered insights into my play which I was not able to get anywhere else.
One of the best things I gained from my lessons is a better developed opening repertoire. Emmanuel did not push me to play specific lines he liked, but rather helped me to develop and improve the lines I already played and enjoyed. In some cases I was not happy with the line I was playing, in which case he provided me with new lines to consider and additional resources so that I could further explore them.
Another one of Emmanuel's best strengths is his flexibility in teaching. If I want to work on a particular aspect of my game he always has lots of good content, and does an excellent job in helping me to review my own games. The lesson format that we have settled into is that I will prepare several questions from my games over the past week (these could be opening, middlegame, endgame, or psychological questions) and we will discuss them.
I've been taking lessons once/wk from Emmanuel for ~3 months and it's been the best decision I've made for my enjoyment of chess and chess improvement. Emmanuel devised a custom training plan that has improved my tactical vision (and continues to do so!) and has made me more confident in my play. He also worked to find an easy to follow opening repertoire to help me get better positions going into the middlegame, which I had previously struggled with. It's also been really enlightening reviewing my games with him and creating custom studies based on tactical and positional ideas. I highly recommend Emmanuel as a coach!
Emmanuel has been a phenomenal coach and mentor for me. He communicates in a timely manner and is punctual with training sessions. He took the time to understand my chess game, experience, and way of thinking before crafting a training regimen designed to work with my specific schedule and goals. He has demonstrated to me that, if the time and effort is focused on the right training, chess gains will follow organically.
What has been most impressive to me is the amount of time, care, and thoughtful preparation he puts into each of our sessions, analyzing my games, and checking in with me from time to time on how I feel about a particular training tactic, opening line, etc.

Emmanuel has helped my child start to solidify their chess. He set up a training schedule, provided a list of resources, helped them select two initial openings, and their skill is improving. During sessions they cover concepts, analyze games, etc which help to eliminate mistakes and see other possibilities. Highly recommended.
Emmanuel is like no other coach I have ever had. He is fantastic at breaking down the various facets of the game in a simplistic way that makes sense. He asks challenging questions that get you to think deeper about a position and he pushes you to be your very best. He has a unique skill set of identifying your weaknesses and customizing a workout schedule to fix them. I can't say enough. He has tremendously elevated my level of play and understanding of this great game we call chess 🙂
